Emergency Shelter

Oasis has a 54-bed emergency shelter with both congregate and non-congregate units available to victims of domestic violence and their dependent children.

At our shelter, clients work with trained domestic violence advocates to determine their individual goals and objectives. Clients receive comprehensive support including safety planning, referrals to community resources, case management, and educational groups.

Advocates facilitate weekly groups focused on domestic violence education, life skills, parenting, and financial literacy. Youth advocates also meet with children weekly to address their individual needs and provide age-appropriate group support.

All services are free of charge, confidential, and voluntary.

Individuals seeking emergency shelter can contact our 24-hour crisis line at 270-685-0260 or 1-800-882-2873 (1-800-88-ABUSE).

Domestic violence services are funded, in whole or in part, by federal and state funds provided by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services through a contract with ZeroV, as well as ESG funding.

Non-Residential Services

Oasis offers a range of non-residential services to support individuals and families impacted by domestic violence who may not need emergency shelter but still require advocacy, resources, and support.

Through our non-residential program, clients can work with trained advocates to develop personalized safety plans, access community resources, and receive ongoing case management. Services include assistance with protective orders, court advocacy, referrals for housing, employment, and healthcare, as well as support navigating systems such as legal and social services.

Advocates also provide domestic violence education through both face-to-face and virtual group sessions to ensure services are accessible and flexible to meet the needs of those we serve. These services are designed to empower individuals, increase safety, and promote long-term stability and independence.

All non-residential services are free of charge, confidential, and voluntary.
